Accounts Receivable/Payable Clerk

Our company has an outstanding opportunity for a results-focused, highly driven and experienced Accounts Receivable/Payable Clerk.

Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent
At least 1-2 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or dealership experience required
Experience with accounts payable and accounts receivable
Basic understanding of general ledger and account reconciliation
Accurate data-entry and 10-key skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a busy work environment 
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Dependable, professional, and able to maintain confidential information 
Strong written and verbal communication skills

Job Responsibilities

Process vendor invoices and prepare payments

Post customer payments and other receipts accurately

Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records

Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies

Reconcile G/L accounts and assist with month-end closing

Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on past-due accounts

Research and correct accounting discrepancies

Communicate with customers, vendors, and dealership departments

Maintain confidentiality of financial and employee information

Perform other accounting and general office duties as assigned
